Job Description
The Government of the Republic of Ghana has received a grant support of USD13 Million from the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) under the Support to Private Sector Development Programme (2010-2014) and a World Bank credit of US$70 million to finance activities over the next five years required under the Ghana Skills and Technology Development Project (GSTDP) and intends to apply part of the process of this grant/credit to eligible payments under the contract for consultancy services for the recruitment of Peer Reviewers on a part-time basis.
- Peer reviewers are interntionally and nationally recognised subject specialists who will provide internationally recognised best practice inputs into the evaluation of project proposals.
Required Skills or Experience
Applicants for these position must have the relevant experience in addition to the following:
- At least a Masters Degree in Economics, Business Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Engineering, Natural Sciences or in a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience
- Must have a good understanding of the Ghanaian economy
- Knowledgeable in enterprise development, skills and/or technology development issues
- Familiarity with the design and implementation of grant projects is desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively and articulate the principles of the Fund
- Good inter-personal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Must be honest and trustworthy
