It is a former NOSA 5 Star "Platinum" related mine, which has gained ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) Certification and currently implementing OHSAS 18001 Safety Management System.
Job Description
Role Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to assist with planning, implementing and monitoring of effective methods in stakeholder management, land access, resettlement, compensation, and socio-economic development practices in a way that enhances community advancement and AAIL's reputation
Specific responsibilities will include:

Specific responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the review and implementation of AGA management standards on stakeholder engagements
- Assist with the review and implementation of land access, compensation, resettlement and land use management standards
- Assist with review and implementation of AGA Management standard on socioeconomic development
- Assist with identification and planning of socio-economic development projects in host communities
- Implement and monitor socio-economic development projects in host communities
- Provide mentoring support to identified local businesses
- Undertake and report on compensation activities
- Assist with review, implementation and monitoring of Resettlement Action Plans
- Assist with annual review of crop rates
- Provide technical inputs on land access, compensation and resettlement issues on relevant Stakeholder Engagement platforms
- Undertake community mobilization activities for socio-economic development programmes
- Undertake community mobilization activities for compensation and resettlement
- Liaise with other AAIL's department to organize sensitization programmes in communities forums
- Serve as a gender focus person in the Community Affairs team
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in social/community development-related discipline
- At least 3 years experience working with communities in a similar role
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with communities in planning, developing and implementing community/economic development programs
- Ability to identify and solve community-related problems, including an understanding and sensitivity to cultural issues
- Ability to effectively communicate in Twi or Fanti
- Effective negotiation, mediation and facilitation skills
- Must possess a valid Ghanaian Driving License and should be able to drive
