- Design and implement internal audit policies as approved by Management or the Board of Directors of the Centre
- Ensure that financial information produced is reliable
- Fulfill Board of Directors’ and Management’s audit requests
- Monitor economic and efficient use of the Center’s financial resource
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws and financial regulations
- Advise staff of the Finance and Accounts Department on the auditing requirements of the Centre
- Investigate and report on any irregularities in the financial management of the Centre
- Liaise with the external Auditors on general audit requirements and assist them in their task
- Audit all financial payments to ensure proper authorizations have been secured and that the rules and regulations have been followed
- Must hold either B.Sc. Admin (Accounting Option) Degree from a recognised University with at least 8 years post graduation experience out of which at least 5 years should be in the field of Auditing; or
- Must have obtained the final certificate of an Accounting body with at least 5 years post-qualification experience in Auditing
- Must be computer literate
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration-Accounting and Finance would be an added advantage
