Role Summary/Purpose:GE is expanding in the region and we are inviting Senior Accountants to join our Global Business Services Team (GBS) in Ghana.
Essential ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
Ø Ensure accurate and timely bookings of Accounting entries in accordance with USGAAP & STAT standards
Ø Work closely with Kenya COE team to ensure timely & accurate AP, T&L, AR, Treasury processes
Ø Work closely with GE Businesses in Ghana and provide them in-country GBS Financial Services support, ensure Controllership & Compliance at Country level
Ø Conduct accounting activities on day-to-day basis, and during monthly / quarterly / yearly closing
Ø Monthly/ Quarterly Account Reconciliation processØ Cash Flow forecasting
Ø Document Management
Ø Follow internal controls to prevent Unreconciled Accounts & Compliance risks
Ø Together with Ghana Center Leader coordinate STAT/ TAX audits in Ghana
Ø Prepare yearly budgets/ planning/ pricing, and conduct variance and productivity analysis to monitor and control any deviation
Ø Analyze financial transactions, determine accuracy, ensure completeness and compliance to established policies & procedures and GAAP
Ø Participate in various Controllership & Compliance initiatives
Ø Drive continuous process improvement in the accounting processes in the Center, including key controllership projects.
Qualifications/Requirements:Ø Solid Finance & Accounting skills in STAT/ USGAAP/ TAX/ IFRS
Ø Bachelors degree, major in accounting/ auditing
Ø Minimum 4 years relevant experience.
Ø Solid communication, organization and document management skills.
Ø Strong interpersonal/teamwork skills.
Ø Solid computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ø Having project management & coaching experience would be an asset.
Ø Ability to influence without authority and work collaboratively in a team. Relationship Building & Networking Skills with internal organization and customers\
