Perseus Mining is a duet listed (Australia, Toronto) gold miner and explorer focused on the West African region. Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold
Job Description
The Business Analyst, reporting to the Management Accountant, will be assisting in the preparation of timely and reliable management information reports of the Commercial Department at Perseus (Ghana) Limited, Edikan Gold Mine near Ayanfuri.
The responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:-

- Assisting in ensuring cost and accruals are accurately and timely captured on monthly basis
- Assisting in the preparation of the Project Reports (Exploration and Construction)
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management reports, including variance analysis on variations between actual results and budget
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly department cost reports with variance analysis
- Performing monthly General Ledger Reconciliation
- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasting
- Assisting with design and implementation of new management reports
- Assisting in periodic and cyclical physical inventory counts
- Any other duties assigned by the Management Accountant
Required Skills or Experience
- The successful applicant must possess a Degree in Accounting, part-qualification of a professional accounting body or its equivalent and at least 3 years work experience in payroll, strong knowledge of Pronto Software will be an added advantage
