The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, College of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences, invites suitably qualified applicants for various positions.

1. Textiles and Clothing
2. Family Resource Management and Women and Development
3. Child Studies and Human Development
4. Foods and Nutrition

Required Skills or Experience

Textiles and Clothing:
Applicants should have:

• A Ph.D Degree with course work and thesis in Textiles and Clothing
• A strong Science and Clothing background as related to human behavior
• A flair for the design and construction of garments (fashion)
• Taught in a tertiary institution for at least 3 years; and
• A good first degree in Home Science or related field

Family Resource Management and Women and Development:
Candidates must possess:

• A Ph.D in the area of Family Resource Management and/or Women and Development
• A good first degree in Home Science/Home Economics, Psychology or Sociology

Child Studies and Human Development:
Applicants should have a Ph.D (thesis Option) in:

• Child Development
• Family Relations
• Early Childhood education
• Sociology and Psychological and
• A good first degree in Home Science or related field

Foods and Nutrition:
Applicants should have:

• Ph.D in Food Science or Nutrition
• A good first degree in Home Science or related field
