Our client is currently recruiting for a Construction Management Expert for short-term assignments on a CIDA-funded project in Ghana. The project involves the provision of both groundwater- and surface water-based small piped drinking water supply systems for small towns ranging in population from 2,000 to 10,000 inhabitants.
Our client is seeking a CET with a minimum of 15 years of experience, 10 of those in construction; expertise in construction supervision of water pumping systems, storage reservoirs, and distribution systems; and excellent English writing skills. Developing country exposure/sensitivity and/or First Nations work experience will be assets.
Among other activities and responsibilities, the successful candidate will:
Provide support and advice to a project team;
Undertake capacity building of local municipal/district “counterparts’;
Conduct small group training and on-the-job training; and
Supervise contractors and inspectors.
