Assistant Controller / Business Planning and Cost Reporting
The Assistant Controller - Business Planning and Cost Reporting will have the following responsibilities:
Cost accounting, budgeting, financial forecasting and overseeing the maintenance of the accounting systems.
Ensure that senior management has timely, accurate and relevant data in conformity with all corporate, legal, debt and Ghana government financial reporting requirements.
Provide information to enable operations management to optimize the use of its resources, control costs and make informed strategic decisions. Such information must comply with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Ghana GAAP and accounting standards of other reporting jurisdictions.
This position will also have exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial accounting and project work in support of business planning.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance with Chartered Accountant or CPA certification.
A minimum of 8 years accounting and financial reporting experience and significant experience in US GAAP financial reporting.
Previous mine site finance and accounting experience strongly preferred.
Must have strong computer skills.
Strong leadership and management presentation skills.
Demonstrated people management experience and the ability to work with internal and external partners.
Experience with continuous improvement programs and integrated management systems.
Good general management exposure and capabilities to permit effective management of non financial functions such as Supply and IT departments at site.
Consolidation accounting experience would be beneficial.
Domestic and international travel is required.
This position may be located at a mine site.
