The Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) was established by an Act of parliament, Act 170, in 1963.  It is the sole body charged with the regulation of the accountancy profession in Ghana.  Its members are the only persons recognized under the Companies Code (Act 179) 1963, for the purpose of audit of company accounts.  It is governed by a council of eleven chartered accountants.  The Council, headed by a President, holds office for a period of two (2) years.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for: DIRECTOR – MEMBER SERVICES
Qualification and Experience
An ideal applicant should hold all the following qualifications:
  1. Must be a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants [Ghana];
  2. Must have at least seven years’ post qualification experience;
  3. Must be computer literate, with reasonable knowledge in MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel and Access; and
  4. Must demonstrate leadership.
Duties:   The Director would be responsible for:
  1. Developing and organizing Continuing Professional Development programmes that meet the demands and requirements of the accountancy profession and prepare members of the Institute for a wider range of careers in the profession.
  2. Monitoring and reviewing audit practices of members in practice.
  3. Providing consultancy services in accountancy for the various sectors in the economy.
  4. Developing policies and guidelines for admitting qualified applicants into Membership of the Institute and issuance of Practising Certificate to qualified members.
  5. Organising Induction Courses for newly admitted members as well as qualified members to be licensed to practise.
  6. Any other duties assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
