Job Description
Artisans - Underground Mobile Maintenance (Sandvik Equipment).

Bulyanhulu Gold Mine seeks to fill the vacancies within its Maintenance and Engineering Department.
  • The incumbents will conduct preventative, corrective and planned/unplanned repairs to the mobile equipment fleet. In addition, they should comply with all company procedures, set rules, regulations and safety standards, whilst maintaining the Barrick core values and attaining best industry standards

Required Skills or Experience
  • Candidates should have completed a structured and recognised Mechanical apprenticeship and possess a Mechanical trade certificate, from a recognised and authorised body (FTC).
  • A complete understanding of diesel engine construction, maintenance and operation is essential, as is good knowledge of torque converters and multiclutch transmission systems and their control.
  • Candidates should be conversant with hydraulic system construction and operation, possess auto electrical knowledge of starter and charging circuits, and have trackless underground mobile maintenance experience.
  • Experience in skills transfer and team development in a cross-cultural environment is a requirement, while experience on Sandvik equipment is highly desirable
