Purpose of the Job:
The Heavy Mining Equipment Department of Tarkwa Gold Mine is seeking to employ a dedicated, experienced and self motivated individuals to fill the position of Senior Engineer.
Key responsibilities:-
The Heavy Mining Equipment Department of Tarkwa Gold Mine is seeking to employ a dedicated, experienced and self motivated individuals to fill the position of Senior Engineer.
Key responsibilities:-
- Ensure the achievement of high equipment availability and within industry standard
- Ensure that Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) are maintained and positioned in line with GFG operational requirements and objectives
- Provide hands-on technical problem solving, fault diagnosing, a failure analysis and reporting
- Benchmark best HME maintenance systems and practices and make use of new and available technology
- Ensure high equipment performance and equipment reliability
- Implement effective cost management and financial performance monitoring system
- Establish and maintain high performance and cohesive teamwork
- Enforce health, safety and environmental procedures
- Ensure that effective engineering standards and procedures are developed and implemented in compliance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements
- Ensure that HME staff are effectively trained, developed, and supervised
- Develop and implement effective maintenance standards and procedures
Required Skills or Experience
- A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
- Minimum of eight (8) years experience in Pumps maintenance systems
- Experienced in safe lifting and loading practices
- Project management skills
- Previous experience or competency in SAP
- Ability to analyse difficult situations
- Well developed oral and written communication skills
- A valid Ghanaian driver's licence
